The Nueces Center for Mental Health and Intellectual Disabilities (MHID) is dedicated to helping the residents of Nueces County who are living with mental illness and/or intellectual and developmental disabilities. We serve over 10,000 people each year with psychiatric and behavioral health care outpatient services, counseling, training, employment assistance, housing support, homeless outreach, children's mental health care and more.

Salary: "Please note that the job posting rate for this position is $16.05 to $17.80, the salary offered will follow the starting salary guidelines which are typically made at or near the minimum of the salary range. However, a salary may be negotiated above the minimum range depending on applicable years of experience and qualifications."

General Description
Under the direction of the TST/Crisis Supervisor, will be responsible for providing administrative support to the assigned units. Duties include providing administrative support with scheduling, typing of meeting minutes, completion of internal/external forms and requests for staff, completing consumer and staff assignments, tracking of projects and assignments. Complex data entry into the Center's clinical systems and into HHSC Systems and spreadsheets. Provides administrative support in the tracking and compiling of clinical and administrative data including that used for program wide quality management purposes and performance contract requirements. May answer phones, routing incoming calls, taking messages, greeting visitors and directing them to the appropriate staff. Prepares, edits, and distributes correspondence, reports, forms and documents. Orders supplies and assists with general human resource work such as scheduling interviews and following up on completion of required documentation.

Knowledge of standard office practices and administrative procedures. Skill in the use of Microsoft Office software. Ability to write and format reports and to compile statistical data. Ability to take meeting minutes. Self-directed when assigned projects. Able to handle multiple assignments at the same time. Strong organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to work as a team member. Ability to schedule meetings and interviews. Ability to assist in developing training programs. In the course of being employed, understands and implements trauma informed care practices.
