The Nueces Center for Mental Health and Intellectual Disabilities (MHID) is dedicated to helping the residents of Nueces County who are living with mental illness and/or intellectual and developmental disabilities. We serve over 10,000 people each year with psychiatric and behavioral health care outpatient services, counseling, training, employment assistance, housing support, homeless outreach, children's mental health care and more.

Hourly Wage: $15.93

Full-Time, 40 Hour Work Week, Paid Bi-weekly

General Description

Performs electronic document imaging and printing services work, involving operating and maintaining digital imaging equipment and software, scanners, reproduction equipment; completing print orders and other duplication services. Maintains digital copies of clinical records and gathers documents needed in digital form for audits, lawsuits and other requests. Creates and manages digital forms to transform paper processes into digital processes and workflows.

Minimum Qualifications

HS/GED education. Prefer some knowledge of medical terminology. Proficient in computer skills to include Microsoft 365, Microsoft Teams, electronic health records, and Adobe Acrobat. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Knowledgeable of digital filing systems, scanning devices and applicable software. Must have reliable transportation. May use personal vehicle to conduct business. Must maintain a valid driver's license at all times, and maintain liability insurance and a good driving record.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Ability to type accurately at least 35 wpm and some experience of computer data entry skills.

This position requires individual to:

  1. Be able to stand/sit for long periods of time, stoop and bend throughout the day
  2. Knowledge of filing systems
  3. Knowledge of computer entry experience
  4. Knowledge of HIPAA guidelines
  5. Knowledge of medical terminology
  6. Must be detail oriented.
  7. Must be able to multi-task and handle a fast-paced office setting
