The Nueces Center for Mental Health and Intellectual Disabilities (MHID) is dedicated to helping the residents of Nueces County who are living with mental illness and/or intellectual and developmental disabilities. We serve over 10,000 people each year with psychiatric and behavioral health care outpatient services, counseling, training, employment assistance, housing support, homeless outreach, children's mental health care and more.

Full-Time, 40 Hour Work Week, Paid Bi-weekly
General Description
Performs entry-level human resources management work. Works under close supervision, with minimal latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgement. Employees at this level may have limited experience or no experience, may spend the majority of their time performing simple to routine work following standard procedures, and may assist other staff in performing work of greater complexity.
Minimum Qualifications
Experience in human resources management work. Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in human resource management, business or public administration or related field is generally preferred. Experience and education may be substituted for one another. In the course of being employed, understand, and implements trauma informed care practices. Must maintain valid Texas Driver's License, Liability Vehicle Insurance and a good driving record.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of the principles and practices of human resources management; of human resources programs such as employment, compensation, and classifications. Skills in conducting interviews, in using computers and human resources related software application and in handling multiple tasks and prioritizing oral and written communications, in using computers and human resources related software applications, and in handling multiple tasks and prioritizing. Ability to explain policies and procedures to staff and the public, must maintain confidential sensitive information. Ability to develop and analyze human resource processes and to establish and maintain effective working relationships with application, employees, and the general public. Ability to evaluate application qualifications, to analyze job requirements, to prepare job descriptions, and to communicate effectively. In the course of being employed, understands and implements trauma informed care practices.
