The Nueces Center for Mental Health and Intellectual Disabilities (MHID) is dedicated to helping the residents of Nueces County who are living with mental illness and/or intellectual and developmental disabilities. We serve over 10,000 people each year with psychiatric and behavioral health care outpatient services, counseling, training, employment assistance, housing support, homeless outreach, children's mental health care and more.

Salary: $65,229.36 

Full-Time, 40 Hour Work Week, Paid Bi-weekly

General Description:

Under supervision of Access Service Director and the Medical Director, the MCOT Supervisor provides administrative and managerial responsibilities that include, but not limited to, the provision of crisis services in the community, clinical oversight of Mobile Crisis Outreach Team, Mobile Crisis Outreach Expansion Team, and Crisis Walk-in Clinic, provide supervision to staffed assigned to the programs, coordinates with psychiatric hotline, hospitals, and jail for continuity of care and maintain a positive budget variance for each program. MCOT Supervisor is responsible for auditing clinical files for quality assurance and maintain compliance with Joint Commission, Medicaid, OPM, and HHSC standards. MCOT Supervisor will promote MCOT services in the community with community stakeholders and resources. Services also include individual counseling or psychosocial rehabilitation services, as directed. Must have reliable transportation.

Minimum Qualifications:

Experience in the administration of a program relevant to assignment, counseling, and/or psychological work.  Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a master's degree in psychology or related degree in social, behavioral, or human services. Must be licensed as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) by the State of Texas. Minimum of an LPHA with two years of experience. Experience in social and rehabilitative work.  Must have a Valid Texas Driver's license and good driving record.

PREFERRED: Bilingual. Have knowledge of the principles and practices of clinical supervision, management, and of local, state, and federal laws and regulations relevant to the program area. Good computer skills-ability to enter information into electronic medical records and use of Microsoft Office products.

3.)  Ability to establish goals and objectives, to devise solutions to administrative problems, to develop and evaluate administrative policies and procedures, to prepare concise reports, to interpret regulations, to communicate effectively, and to assign and supervise the work of others;

4.)  Ability to work cooperatively with a variety of professionals and non-professionals;

5.)  Ability to train rehabilitative skills for staff to provide group and individual crisis skills training for community integration;

6.)  Knowledge of client advocacy;

7.)  Ability to organize work efficiently and prioritize schedule.
