We serve over 10,000 people each year with psychiatric and behavioral health care outpatient services, counseling, training, employment assistance, housing support, homeless outreach, children's mental health care and more.

Salary: "Please note that the job posting rate for this position is $55,491.39, the salary offered will follow the starting salary guidelines which are typically made at or near the minimum of the salary range. However, a salary may be negotiated above the minimum range depending on applicable years of experience and qualifications."

General Description
Under supervision of the Director of IDD Authority Services, performs moderately complex (journey-level) administrative and supervisory program work. Prepares and reviews reports on the effectiveness of program activities. Assists in the development of policies and procedures. Assists in planning, implementing, coordinating, monitoring, and evaluating programs. Assists with intra- or interagency service coordination and referral problems. Identifies problem areas, service gaps, and areas that are barriers to services for clients. Oversees the work of assigned program staff and confers with staff on program issues. Is compliant with Center policies and procedures, program protocols, and requirements of other regulatory bodies. Reviews clients referred to IDD Authority Services and tracks progress through the intake, screening, eligibility, and admissions process. Works closely with Psychologists to ensure Eligibility Determinations are completed timely and accurately. Oversees Continuity for IDD consumers and works closely with representatives from State Hospitals and State Supported Living Centers to ensure needs are met during and after transition. Oversees completion of waiver enrollments, State Supported Living Center Applications, ICF-ID admissions, Nursing Facility Diversions/Transitions, and Permanency Planning. Oversees Enhanced Community Coordination Activities. Participates in the quality assurance and utilization review processes to ensure quality of services. Assists with monthly and quarterly reporting to HHSC on various program measures and consumer outcomes. Performs related work as assigned. Will have a flexible to meet the needs of the Center and the individual's served. Works under general supervision, with limited latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgement.
Must have reliable transportation. May use personal vehicle to conduct business. Must have a valid driver's license at all times, liability insurance, and a good driving record.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum: Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a major in a social, behavioral, or human service field, such as psychology, social work, medicine, nursing, rehabilitation counseling, sociology, human development, gerontology, educational psychology, or special education. Must meet QIDP criteria, including 1 year of experience working with the IDD population.
Preferred: Two years' experience assessing client needs, coordinating client services, and monitoring program effectiveness preferred. Experience with enrollments into Texas Home Living and Home and Community Based Services preferred. Knowledge of permanency planning requirements and SSLC application and referral processes preferred. Supervisor experience preferred.
