The Nueces Center for Mental Health and Intellectual Disabilities (MHID) is dedicated to helping the residents of Nueces County who are living with mental illness and/or intellectual and developmental disabilities. We serve over 10,000 people each year with psychiatric and behavioral health care outpatient services, counseling, training, employment assistance, housing support, homeless outreach, children's mental health care and more.

Salary: "Please note that the job posting rate for this position is $55,491.39, the salary offered will follow the starting salary guidelines which are typically made at or near the minimum of the salary range. However, a salary may be negotiated above the minimum range depending on applicable years of experience and qualifications."

General Description
Under the supervision of Youth Service Director. Provides administrative and managerial responsibilities of mental health routine case management that includes maintaining positive budget variance, clinical oversite of program, and supervision of staff assigned to program. Supervises the quality and quantity of work conducted by case management staff. Responsible for auditing quality of standards of consumers' care; assures billable services are maximized; management of unit budget; and program development. Maintains compliance of standards (JOINT COMMISSION, Medicaid, and NCMHID OPM).
Minimum Qualifications
A minimum of a bachelor's or advance degree from an accredited college or university with a major in psychology, social work, medicine, nursing, rehabilitation, counseling, sociology, human growth and development, physician assistant, gerontology, special education, educational psychology, early childhood education or early childhood intervention. Knowledge of case management principles, objectives, standards, and methods; and of program policies and procedures. Experience supervising, planning, organizing, directing, controlling or coordinating activities in related program. May use personal vehicle to conduct business. Must have a valid driver's license at all times, liability insurance and a good driving record.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of mental illness, psychotropic medications, their uses and typical side effects.
Knowledge of community resources.
Ability to work cooperatively with a variety of professionals and non-professionals.
Skills in developing productive relationships with individuals and family members that focus on individual specific treatment outcomes.
Knowledge of Case Management activities.
Ability to train rehabilitative skills for staff to provide individual skills training for community integration.
Knowledge of client advocacy.
Ability to organize work efficiently and prioritize schedule.
Communicates effectively
Ability to generate, track and monitor data related to program
