The Rehab Therapy Technician (RTT) II position performs entry-level rehabilitation therapy work, primarily providing rehabilitative services to clients with mental health impairments at Pathways Crisis Respite. Responsibilities include supervising clients and their activities, observing and reporting on client conditions and behaviors, and interacting with clients in a crisis residential manner. Additionally, the position entails communicating with collateral staff, managing unit conditions, and participating in required training programs. Under supervision of the IDD Intake, Eligibility, & Continuity Program Supervisor, completes screening and intake for admissions into IDD services. Completes community outreach and education with area school districts and through other Center sponsored or community health fairs and programs. Works with the Aging and Disability Resources Center to assist with screening and intakes. Provides information to individuals or families about community resources to assist in meeting immediate needs. Screens for crisis and makes appropriate referrals, as needed. Responsible for the management of the HCS and TxHmL Interest Lists for Nueces County, including completing biannual contacts. Responsible for maintenance of the internal interest list for General Revenue Services. Coordinates with psychologists to ensure timely completion of eligibility determination.


Under supervision of the IDD Intake, Eligibility, & Continuity Program Supervisor, performs advanced (senior-level) case management work. Work may involve coordinating case management and program activities, helping to develop program goals, objectives, and procedures, and evaluating outcome measures for the program. Under supervision of the IDD Service Director performs moderately complex (journey-level) managerial work administering the daily operations and activities of the Local Intellectual and Developmental Disability Authority (LIDDA). Responsible for administering the following service programs: Unit 316-IDD Intake/Admission/Enrollment, Unit 731-General Revenue & Community-First Choice (GR/CFC) Service Coordination, Unit 732-Community Living Options Information Process (CLOIP), Unit 734-Pre-admission Screening Resident Review/Texas Home Living (PASRR/TxHmL) Service Coordination, and Unit 735-Home and Community-based Services (HCS) Service Coordination. Under supervision of the Jail CoC Supervisor, Jail CoC case managers are responsible for activities designed to ensure an individual is provided uninterrupted services during a transition into or out of a correctional institution and that assist the individual and the individual's legally authorized representative (LAR) in identifying, accessing, and coordinating LMHA services and other appropriate services and supports in the community needed by the individual.

Under the general supervision of a registered Nurse, is responsible for providing nursing, mental health services and nursing/health care training to individuals in the FACT program. Responsible for delivery of intensive medical service, education, and rehabilitative training for consumers on the Forensic Assertive Community Treatment caseload; coordination of consumer’s medical-related needs in order to maintain stability in the community and achieve independence; crisis prevention and intervention. Works as a member of a team along with others on the Forensic Assertive Community Treatment program. The job requires availability after hours, an automobile and extensive community travel for service provision, with a flexible schedule and hours.

Work involves advocating and providing peer mentoring and support. Provides education to caregivers of a child or adolescent who is being served by the program. Reporting to the Access Service Director, the Crisis Services Manager assumes a pivotal role in overseeing administrative duties, managerial duties, and clinical supervision of Crisis Services programming. Additionally, the role involves coordinating with the psychiatric hotline, hospitals, jail, local law enforcement, dispatch, community partners, and Pathways respite to ensure continuity of care for consumers seeking mental health services through MHID.
